Kurt painted the picture of David’s fantasy future.
It’s obviously something that David was thinking about as well, but Kurt was obviously envisioning everything of David’s future.
Getting out of Lima and never looking back, going to move to the big city, working at a large firm, your handsome partner comes to visit you, your little son coming in, and you’re going to bring him to his first football game.
All things that were part of Kurt’s vision, not David’s. The only thing that David wanted different was to be a Sports Agent instead.
Everything that was set in David’s mind was Kurt’s imagination and fantasy.
Whether these are things that Kurt wants, or David wants to me it seems like a magical moment for the Kurtofsky ship.
If it’s something that Kurt wants it’s clear that David and Kurt want the same things. Which is what makes a relationship. If you truly want to have a meaningful relationship and one where you “grow old together” you need to want the same things for the future.
If it’s something that David wants and simply Kurt was painting in the picture in his mind guessing what David wanted, it just makes it more amazing; Since it would mean that Kurt knows what David wants. Which just proves that Kurt knows David more than any person in the show, or potentially in his life. Which is something I find remarkable.
